About us
Dr. Stephen Wise founded the company in 2018. Ceres Waste, Renewables & Environment (Ceres WRE) brings together decades of senior-level expertise in waste management, recycling, organics, and environmental consultancy. In March 2024, industry leaders Simone Aplin, Jamie Warmington, and Claudia Amos joined as Directors, strengthening our ability to deliver specialist, high-impact solutions for clients across the sector.

Our Leadership Team
Dr. Stephen Wise FCIWM
Stephen founded the business in 2018. With a background in site operations, including anaerobic digestion and refuse derived fuel, Stephen supports boards and investors to optimise their operations and maintain compliance. He is an expert in management systems and auditing, with long-running relationships with clients. He also acts as an expert witness in commercial disputes.
Founder & DirectorClaudia is well known amongst infrastructure investors and has supported many of the most significant transactions in the sector. Her commercial expertise and attention to detail show in her due-diligence and she often acts as a senior level, industry advisor to investment committees. She is also a recognised expert in plastics and compostable materials.

Jamie Warmington
Jamie is recognised for his detailed policy and market analysis. Understanding how feedstock availability and pricing are likely to evolve is key to anaerobic digestion, waste wood, recycling and waste treatment infrastructure and Jamie specialises in these markets. He is also an expert in carbon policy, including the Emissions Trading Scheme, and its impacts on markets.
DirectorWith a background in policy, waste regulation and site operations, Simone combines this with her commercial understanding of residual waste, recycling and biomass markets to advise project developers, investors and company boards in the sector. She is an experienced expert witness.
